Information, not representation

Terms of use

These terms cover the free DelayDesk website and checker. A third-party airline, ADR body or managed service has its own separate terms.

Effective date: 2026-08-10

Product version: 0.1.0

Who operates DelayDesk

DelayDesk is a trading name of Huang Yiyong, at No. 376, China Harbour View Road, Kowloon City District, Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China. Contact: support@delaydesk.com.

What the service is

DelayDesk provides general UK passenger-rights information, links to official claim routes and a first-pass estimate based on the selections a visitor makes. Use of the site does not create a solicitor-client, adviser-client, agent, representative or claims-management relationship.

DelayDesk is not a law firm, airline, regulator, ADR body or claims-management company. It does not submit, assign, negotiate, decide or guarantee a claim.

Indicative results and current information

The checker does not verify live or historical flight data, route distance, the operating carrier, the real cause of disruption, supporting evidence, applicable time limits or what an airline may prove. Its result may therefore be incomplete or wrong for an individual case.

Rules, airline processes and external links change. Check the named official source before acting and obtain qualified advice when the value or complexity of a claim makes that appropriate. Our methodology explains the current source hierarchy and limitations.

Your responsibilities

Use the site lawfully and provide accurate information to an airline or other service. Do not submit a false, duplicate or unauthorised claim; interfere with site security; introduce malicious code; or use automated access in a way that degrades the service or infringes another person's rights.

Do not send DelayDesk booking references, identity documents, boarding passes, bank details or payment-card information. DelayDesk does not assess an individual claim by email.

External sites and commercial links

Airlines, government services, ADR bodies and commercial providers control their own websites, decisions, fees, privacy practices and availability. A labelled affiliate link is an advertisement and may earn the operator a commission. Claiming directly from the operating airline and using ADR are available without paying DelayDesk. Read the advertising and affiliate disclosure before choosing a managed provider.

Intellectual property

Unless a page states otherwise, the original site design, explanatory text and software are owned by or licensed to the operator. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial claim research and link to public pages. Official legislation, regulator material, airline names and third-party content remain the property of their respective owners.

Availability and changes

The operator may maintain, correct, replace or withdraw site content when rules, sources or technical requirements change. Material product or policy changes will be dated in product updates. Changes to these terms apply from the effective date shown above, not retrospectively.

Responsibility when something goes wrong

The operator will use reasonable care when preparing and operating the site. DelayDesk cannot accept responsibility for a third party's independent decision or for loss caused solely by inaccurate information a visitor supplies or by events outside the operator's reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility where the law does not permit exclusion, including responsibility for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. These terms do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts specified for the operator are Courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without limiting mandatory rights available to UK consumers. If you are a consumer, any mandatory rights or entitlement to use the courts where you live remain unaffected.
